A temporary new home for our plants »

We have been busy moving plants from the old tunnels (yes, we still have some of our own production).  Time is of the essence as the caterpillar tractors are working so fast demolishing the old structures.  It's all hands to the pump.

Refurbishment begins in earnest »

The day we had begun to fear would never come has finally arrived.  Last Monday the Herris fencing was delivered, and on Wednesday the demolition team moved in.

It was a tense (though fascinating ) time as the diggers demolished old poly tunnels and a glass house in order to dig test pits for the County Archaeologist.  The aim was to see if any items of historical interest lay beneath the surface.

After a six year wait, and at the third time of asking, our landlord has finally obtained planning permission for the construction of a 60-bed Nursing Home and new nursery buildings on our current site.
